The key climbs
The list of climbs changes slightly every year, but the finale almost always goes over these two.
La Redoute
The most famous climb of the race, steep and often lined with fans. It comes around thirty kilometres from the finish and serves as a launch pad for long-range attacks.
La Roche-aux-Faucons
The last big obstacle, around fifteen kilometres from Liège. This is where the race is most often decided.
A bit of history
Born in 1892, La Doyenne is the oldest of the Classics. Eddy Merckx holds the record with five wins.
Tadej Pogačar has won it four times, including three in a row from 2024 to 2026. In 2026, he dropped France's Paul Seixas on La Roche-aux-Faucons.
