The Giro d'Italia 2027, the Tour of Italy, runs from Saturday 8 to Sunday 30 May 2027. It will be the 110th edition.
The Grand Départ is expected to be in Trieste, in Friuli Venezia Giulia: the head of RCS Sport, the organiser, has confirmed an agreement with the region, but in mid-October 2026 the region said it had not yet been formalised. To be confirmed at the official presentation.
The first Grand Tour of the season, the Giro is often decided in the high mountains during the final week. The leader of the general classification wears the pink jersey.

A bit of history
The Giro has been held since 1909. The pink jersey, worn by the leader since 1931, takes its colour from the pages of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the newspaper that created the race. Alfredo Binda, Fausto Coppi and Eddy Merckx share the record with five wins each.
In 2026, starting from Bulgaria, the Giro was won by Jonas Vingegaard, on his first appearance.
