Overview
Il Lombardia, the Tour of Lombardy, takes place on Saturday 9 October 2027.
Nicknamed the Race of the Falling Leaves, it is the last Monument of the season. Its hilly route around Lake Como, with more than 4,000 metres of climbing, makes it the climbers' Monument.
The route usually alternates between a start in Bergamo and a finish in Como, or the other way round. The 2027 route has not been announced yet.

The key climbs
The Madonna del Ghisallo
The most famous climb of the race, above Lake Como. At the top, the chapel of the Madonna del Ghisallo is dedicated to the patron saint of cyclists.
The finale
Depending on the direction of the route, the final climbs change: San Fermo della Battaglia and Civiglio when the finish is in Como, the Passo di Ganda when it is in Bergamo.
A bit of history
Il Lombardia has been held since 1905. Fausto Coppi and Tadej Pogačar share the record with five wins each; Pogačar took his in a row from 2021 to 2025.
In 2026, with Pogačar absent, France's Paul Seixas won solo at the age of 20, ahead of Enric Mas and Giulio Ciccone. He is the youngest winner in the race's history.

Your riders score points based on where they finish, from the winner down to the top 40, and by getting in the breakaway. In a Monument, all points are multiplied by 3, the biggest coefficient in the game.
