Overview
The Tour de France 2027 sets off from Edinburgh, in Scotland, on Friday 2 July 2027. After London in 2007 and Yorkshire in 2014, the Grand Départ returns to the United Kingdom.
The first three stages cross Scotland, England and Wales. The peloton then heads to France. The finish is scheduled in Paris on Sunday 25 July 2027.
The full route will be unveiled on 22 October 2026. This page will be updated the same day with every stage.

The favourites
For the yellow jersey, the names that keep coming up are the leaders of recent seasons: Tadej Pogačar, Jonas Vingegaard and Remco Evenepoel. The teams will announce their leaders and race programmes over the winter.
The route will tell whether this Tour favours the climbers or the time triallists. The profiles of the British stages are not known yet: for now, it is impossible to say whether they will go to the sprinters or the puncheurs.
On L'Échappée, the favourite is not always the best buy. A leader costs a lot at auction. A sprinter who wins two stages or a breakaway specialist who takes the polka-dot jersey can bring in just as many points for far less.

How do you play the Tour de France 2027 on L'Échappée?
Create a free account, then a private league for the Tour de France 2027, and invite your friends. You each sign 8 riders in a sealed-bid auction, with a default budget of 300. Your riders then score points based on their real results.
When should I create my league?
A few days before the start. Points only count once the mercato is over, so the auction has to be wrapped up before the race.
Is L'Échappée free?
Yes. L'Échappée is a free fantasy cycling game, on the web and on mobile.
How is it different from other fantasy cycling games?
Here you don't build a team alone against a fixed budget. The riders are auctioned between the players in your league, and each one belongs to a single player. If you want the favourite, you will have to outbid your mates.
Ready for the Tour de France 2027?
