Overview

The Amstel Gold Race takes place on Sunday 18 April 2027, in Limburg, in the south of the Netherlands.

It opens the week of the Ardennes Classics, ahead of La Flèche Wallonne and Liège-Bastogne-Liège. The route strings together more than thirty short climbs on narrow, twisting roads: you have to stay well placed at all times.

In recent years, the finish has been in Berg en Terblijt, near Valkenburg, a few kilometres after the top of the Cauberg.

The key climbs

  • The Cauberg

The emblematic climb of the race, in Valkenburg, tackled several times. For a long time it decided the finish, and it remains a decisive point of the finale.

  • Around thirty climbs

Keutenberg, Eyserbosweg, Fromberg... None of them is long, but one after another they wear riders down all the way to the finale.
