Paris-Roubaix 2027
Sunday 11 April 2027
Overview
Paris-Roubaix, the Hell of the North, takes place on Sunday 11 April 2027.
Since 1977, the race has traditionally started in Compiègne, in the Oise. It then heads north and strings together around thirty cobbled sectors, more than 50 kilometres in total, before the finish in the Roubaix velodrome.
Punctures, crashes and mechanical failures often reshuffle the cards. You need legs, a good bike and a bit of luck.

The key cobbled sectors
The sectors are rated from one to five stars according to their difficulty. Three five-star sectors come back every year.
The Trouée d'Arenberg
A cobbled straight through the middle of the forest, about 2.3 kilometres long. It won't win you the race, but it can lose it for you.
Mons-en-Pévèle
A long five-star sector placed in the second half of the route, often where the real selection begins.
The Carrefour de l'Arbre
The last five-star sector, around fifteen kilometres from the finish. This is often where the race is won.
The Roubaix velodrome
A lap and a half of the track to finish. When several riders arrive together, the sprint comes down to positioning.
A bit of history
Paris-Roubaix has been held since 1896. Roger De Vlaeminck and Tom Boonen hold the record with four wins each.
Mathieu van der Poel won it three times in a row (2023 to 2025). In 2026, Wout van Aert won the sprint in the velodrome ahead of Tadej Pogačar, for his first victory in the Hell of the North.
